If you're facing challenges verifying your identity while setting up your wallet on Contra, follow these best practices to ensure a successful verification process:

  1. Identity Document Country Match Make sure your identity document is issued by the same country you selected during the wallet set-up. If there's a mismatch, reach out to our support team at hello@contra.com, and they'll assist in resetting your Stripe account.

  2. Correct Identity Document Type Selection The identity document type you select should correspond to the identity document you possess.

  3. Clear Identity Document Image Capture a high-resolution image of your identity document under strong daylight or optimal lighting conditions. The image should not be blurry.

  4. Preventing Glare Avoid capturing the image under conditions that create glare on your identity document, as it could lead to verification errors.

  5. Identity Document Validity Your identity document should be valid and not expired.

Country-Specific ID Instructions

For Users in Nigeria

Due to limitations of our third-party identification verification provider, NINs can't be verified currently. If you're based in Nigeria, we recommend using the following documents for ID verification: Passport, Driver's License, or Voter ID.
