Account Creation and Initial Onboarding
Creating an account on Contra is a straightforward process. Just follow these steps:
Visit contra.com/sign-up or sign up through an invite link in an email.
Select the “I’m a freelancer” option.
You will be prompted to create an account. This can be done either by using your Google account or by adding an email address. If you choose the latter, a verification code will be sent to your email, which you'll need to enter on Contra to confirm your address.
The next phase is the initial onboarding process. Here, you will be asked to provide your name or the name of your agency.
Add up to 3 skills that best represent your expertise.
Set your hourly rate and provide your location details.
Upload a profile picture to personalize your account.
You will be asked to add a social link.
Set up your wallet with your preferred payout method to enable payments.
Once these steps are completed, you will be able to be paid on Contra.
In order to be discoverable on Contra, you will be directed to complete the onboarding checklist.
