What is Contra's Expert Network?
Contra Expert Programs recognize freelancers who have demonstrated expertise with specific tools and platforms.
Through partnerships with leading companies, Contra helps identify and showcase verified experts across a wide range of products. If you're accepted into an Expert Network, you'll receive an expert badge on your Contra profile and be shown as an Expert to clients browsing for freelancers proficient in specific tools, helping you stand out to potential clients.
What is an expert badge?
An expert badge is a verification badge displayed on your Contra profile that highlights your expertise with a specific tool.
Expert badges help you:
Showcase your verified expertise.
Build trust with potential clients.
Increase your visibility on Contra.
Improve your chances of being discovered for relevant projects.
Who can apply?
Anyone can apply to an available Expert Program, provided they meet the requirements for that specific partner.
Each Expert Program has its own eligibility criteria and application process. Requirements vary depending on the partner and may include portfolio reviews, certifications, demonstrated experience, or other qualifications.

Browse the available expert programs.
Click on the tool you'd like to apply for.
Click on "Apply to be an expert" on the tool's page.
When redirected to the job where to apply, review the program requirements.
Submit your application.
Who reviews applications?
Applications are reviewed by the partner company behind each Expert Program - not by Contra.
Each partner determines which applicants meet their criteria and should receive expert status. Once approved, Contra adds the expert badge to your profile.
What happens after I'm accepted?
If your application is approved:
Your expert badge will appear on your Contra profile.
You'll be listed on the relevant Contra Expert page.
You'll also be featured on the partner's expert directory, when applicable.
You'll gain additional visibility when clients search for experts in that tool
You'll gain a boost to your Discovery score.

Yes. If you qualify for multiple Expert Programs, you can apply to each one individually and earn multiple expert badges if accepted.

We recommend reaching out to the tool you'd be interested in getting a badge for that is not currently available, and suggesting that they partner with Contra.
